Laura Bowser,

Operations Manager/Government Consultant

Laura’s passion for combining business operations with politics began in 2005 in Beijing, China, where she worked in Operations and Procurement for a large multinational corporation. The following year, Laura was named “Most Outstanding Student” by L. Douglas Wilder’s School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and International Relations.
Over the course of the next 8 years, Laura’s project management skills and political savvy were further developed through a number of positions of increasing responsibility including Clerking for the Virginia House of Delegates, serving as a Legislative Assistant, Campaign Management, Lobbying, Nonprofit Management, and two Management Consulting positions supporting a wide variety of Fortune 500 companies.
Very active within the non-profit community, Laura has a passion for merging business and social interests for positive impact. As Operations Manager and Government Relations Consultant at TMI, Laura thrives at managing large scale programs and accounts—leading cross-functional teams to define, scope, plan, execute and deliver exceptional business value on time and within budget.

Dan Daglish,

Middle School Director, Sabot at Stony Point School

Dan Daglish has been teaching science to students at Sabot at Stony Point middle school since 2012, having begun his teaching career at Tuckahoe Middle School in 2005. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Accounting & Finance) from the London School of Economics and spent 18 years with Deloitte in London, Boston, Seattle and Princeton, New Jersey. During that time he worked in the audit practice and Deloitte’s internal software development practice where he helped develop the training materials and implementation manual for the rollout of software systems across the U.S. audit practice. Dan joined the board of Sabot at Stony Point in 2005 and was the Treasurer from 2006 until 2012. Dan remembers fondly the days when he could cozy up with his three children, who are now not so small, with a good book…and in particular, "The Indian in the Cupboard," by Lynne Read Banks, one of the first OSOB programs at Fox Elementary.

David Dart is an Associate Principal with SingleStone Consulting, formerly Dominion Digital. During his tenure, he has provided financial auditing and oversight to midsize corporations around the country. David is passionate about reading and an advocate for childhood literacy.

Keith Hauser,

SingleStone, Inc. Richmond, VA

Keith Hauser is a Director and Client Partner at SingleStone, a Richmond, Va.-based consulting firm that specializes in Customer Experience (CX) solutions spanning strategy, culture, process, and technology. Previously, Keith was the Senior Vice President of Mortgage and Home Equity Default for RBS Citizens, NA. Keith relocated to Richmond from Cleveland, OH in 2005 as part of the Citizens Bank/Charter One acquisition. Prior to relocating, he was responsible for all Consumer Loan Servicing for Charter One Bank. Keith began his career at Bank One in 1986, holding a variety of positions throughout the Bank, with an emphasis on small business lending and auto lease credit, collections, and product management. In 1995, Keith became COO and then Co-President of a venture capital – backed growth business in the Security Alarm Monitoring industry. Keith has also run a regional division for a national consulting company and the operations for a captive automobile insurance tracking company prior to joining Charter One in 2003. A native of Akron, Ohio, Keith has bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from The Ohio State University. Keith, his wife, and three children now reside in Richmond.

A native Virginian, Meredith lives in Richmond with her husband and two children. Meredith has always loved to read and believes in the power of reading to promote learning and unite families and their communities.

Attorney, Virginia Estate and Trust Law

M.R. Litman is an attorney at Williams Mullen, focusing on estate planning and fiduciary litigation. She holds degrees from Vanderbilt University and the University of Richmond. M.R. is passionate about nonprofit work and giving back to her community, having served on boards for museums, arts institutions, and young professional development. She believes in the power of lifelong learning and has always been an avid reader. M.R. lives in Richmond with her husband, Mike, her son, Palmer, and their beloved Brittany, Winnie.

Ward Marstiller,

Attorney, Emroch & Kilduff, LLP

As a trial lawyer with local Richmond firm, Emroch & Kilduff, Ward knows and appreciates the power of stories. Ward has been an advocate for the transformative power of child/ family literacy for many years, having volunteered as mentor and reading buddy to at-risk children at several area schools. He has also lectured to educational agencies with Read to Them founder, Gary Anderson, on the value of reading aloud to children while serving as an officer and Board member on Read to Them’s predecessor, Read Aloud Virginia. Ward brings that same passion for storytelling and vision for the vital role of stories to foster community engagement and unity as a current Board member of Read to Them.

Ralph Reynolds,

Director, Eagle Youth Foundation

Ralph has been splitting his time between Reynolds Development, his family's commercial real estate business, and non-profit work with his family's foundation. He discovered his real passion working with children and families in the Blue Ridge Estates, a section 8 housing complex. After a decade of non-profit work, Ralph has found an ideal fit on Read To Them's Board Of Directors which Ralph joined in December of 2015.

Lauren Tucker,

Collaborative Problem Solving Certified Trainer

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned her masters degrees in education and social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked within organizations such as Teach for America, KIPP, UMFS, and VCU to provide and advocate for quality educational and mental health opportunities for marginalized students and families. Every night Lauren relishes the time she spends reading books in Spanish and English with her son, Champ, her husband, Marshall, and their dog, Brooklyn.
